Pet Portraits at Ruff Cuts in Oshkosh

I had the opportunity to take some shoots at one of our friends wedding last week. This is a wonderfully and touching story about how the two of them came together. It started out on a on-line game called Zues legacy; they started out just chatting while playing the game and as you can guess there relasenship just keep growing from there. Carlos is from Venezuela, that made it that much more difficult for this wedding to take place, all the trips Carlos had to take back and forth from the U.S to Venezuela, all the paper work, lots and lots of time spent just getting him to be able to come to the U.S. Then after all the paper work was O.K and Carlos got to come hear to stay and get married, they only had a few weeks to plain the wedding(the visa only last about a month) and had to get married before the expression date of the visa. This all took place over a course of about 2 years. The wedding was just beautiful, with a ton of emotion, everyone had a tear in there eye, with all the joy we all had that this wedding was hear and Carlos was hear to stay. It was such a pleaser to see how happy Pam was as I watched her get ready for the big moment and to see both of there expressions; when they first saw each other. It was a true pleaser to be a part of this day for them and I wish them the best.

Soccer

Well its the start of our sons 1st soccer session. Logan is 4 and he started soccer this year, boy is it fun to watch him and the other kids play at that age, its all about having fun

Holidays

Well the Holidays are just about over and a new year is almost hear, with only a few days to go and it will be 2009. I know I had a great Christmas, spending time with my family. Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year, watching our son Logan open all of his gifts on Christmas morning is one of the best things ever. You can learn so much from kids its hard to believe, all the simple things that mean so much to them, just brings a big smile to my face.

As for the new year, well we have a lot of new things planed for this year,we will be rolling out our new wedding packages for 2009 right after the 1st of the year, I also know I plan on posting at least one new blog every week(something I seem to fall behind on all the time) but I will make it a new years promise to keep up on this blog so everyone has a good idea on how things are changing and growing, with updated photos weekly. The new year is also going to bring a updated website, the site itself will not change, just more and updated photos, a new proof page(for viewing and ordering of your photos on-line). My wife has also showed a interest in posting a comment now and again so you might even get a chance to hear from her. Well thats it for now, but keep posted for a new blog look and to keep checking in to see what will be new for 2009.

We had the pleaser to photograph the Wedding of Robert and Debra Moore. This has been by far the most memorable wedding we have had the pleaser to be a part of. The wedding was on August 9th, 2008 and I wish I would of had the time to write about this sooner, but we have been busy and I have put this on the back burner until now. These are the kind of people you will not forget, I know I will be still talking about and sharing the memoirs of this day with my wife and others forever. Not only where they awesome to be around, all there family and friends where great to, I enjoyed meeting and talking with everyone. I even got to meet James Stanfield(if you don’t know who he is he is one of the greatest National Geographic photographers out there) and it was just wonderful to have been able to sit down a talk with him for a few moments. I never would in a thousand years would have thought I would have got the chance to meet a photographer from the National Geographic at a wedding in Oshkosh. The Bride and Groom live in Hawaii and had there wedding in Oshkosh. There reception was at the EAA museum(not to often we get to photograph there with no one else around) and it was great. We look forward to the Moore’s coming back to visit in Oshkosh and being able to sit down with them again for a cup of coffee and just enjoying the conversation. I can not say enough about how wonderful everyone was, there was so much love and friendship at there wedding. I feel blessed that we got the chance to be a part of it. There was even a group of woman(I think 12 or 15) there(friends of the bride)that still to this day get together every year to go on a trip together. How great is that, to be able to have the kind of friendship that over the years you can still get together with all of them. I could go on forever about this wedding, but I’m not a writer but a photographer. Again I would like to thank the Moore’s for having us be a part of there special day. Thank you.

Senior Portrait

We just got done shooting a senior portrait session with one of the nicest high school kids we have every meet, the whole family was just wonderful. We went to three different locations for this photo shoot, every bit of this photo session was great, she was so easy to work with and a joy to photography.

Oshkosh EAA

This past week in Oshkosh was the EAA. There where literally thousands and thousands of airplanes and people in Oshkosh last week. I got the chance to go out to see all the planes and people. Betty and myself took our son to see the goodyear blimp last Wednesday and he loved it. I also got the chance to see one of the air shows on Friday, its kind of odd, I have been living in Oshkosh just about my whole life and I have not been out to see a air show since I was a kid, so it was nice to have some free time and get to enjoy what the Oshkosh EAA has to offer. The EAA has got us all fired up and ready for this weeks wedding that we have, since the reception will be held at the EAA museum. This is the first time we have got the chance to shoot a wedding at the EAA and we are really looking forward to this.

I Phone 3G

The new I Phone 3G has been released on July 11, 2008, with over 1 million sold on the 1st day. I have been thinking about getting one for the last few month’s for the sole purpose I’m a mac computer user and the I Phone would sync with my computer. Yes I did jump aboard last week and get one. I got my phone on July 17th a birthday present to myself. I have had a few days to give it a try and yes I love it, it’s the best phone I have every had, just after a few days of the using the phone I don’t know how I got along with out one for so long, it’s so easy to use, all my contacts, calendar, everything all right with me on my phone. This makes life a bit easier, I always know what”s going on without any worries. I love it.

1st wedding at the waters in Oshkosh

On June 27th 2008 we shoot our first wedding at he newly refurbished waters in Oshkosh. They did a great job at the make over, it is a very beautifully place to have a wedding and reception. Nick and Emily had there wedding there and it was great. There was some rain so the wedding had to moved inside the waters but that did not stop them from having a great day. We did get to go outside for some truly amazing pictures, with the sky a deep blue and big clouds made it a picture perfect day. You can see the love between them in every picture, they are most definitely made for each other, always happy with big similes on there face all day. We really enjoyed this wedding form the start all the way threw the reception where the not only had great food but had CopperBox (a great band) for there music.
